This tea room, opened in 1870 on the initiative of a young pastry chef, Nicolaus Henningsen, remains a real institution in Copenhagen! Mahogany panelling, old-fashioned shop windows, brass counter, here is an unmissable address in the land of delicacies. You can taste the energy speciality, sportskage or "sportsman's cake". You'll understand that it takes a lot of breath to finish off the generous creamy portions! Ice cream is of course one of the specialities to try. If you're on a diet, the front of the shop is a feast for the eyes!

In the atrium, a huge sculpture, Shoal No. 8, made of 8,500 steel fish, recalls the former activity of the place. It is the work of the Scabetti Studio. A must see even if you don't like shopping.
