Nestled in the hills, slightly set back from the road, this village of 1,200 inhabitants is as bucolic as you could wish. Lined with tree-lined paths, chickens roam freely. Traditions are alive and well here: religious festivals are celebrated with fervor and, on Sundays, as in other villages in the area, the inhabitants dress up in regional costumes, offering a festival of colors. You'll also be able to watch farm work and craftsmen at work: embroiderers, weavers, wood carvers... You'll also see some beautiful carved wooden porches. Breb also boasts a beautiful 17th-century wooden church with 17th-century frescoes. A number of foreigners have settled here in recent years, along with Romanian neo-ruralists, contributing to the village's tourist dynamism. It also offers a wide range of accommodation options, including beautiful restored wooden houses such as those restored by Prince Charles, via his Mihai Eminescu Foundation.
