Between Moldovița and Sucevița, you'll pass through the beautiful hamlet of Ciumârna, where Houtsoules traditions are still very much alive. In this deep valley, the scenery is magnificent, made up of steep hills and small fields. The French-Romanian association Petricka (association-petricka.com), based in Casa Colinița, is a veritable mine of information, including the possibility of finding accommodation with local people in the village. At the top of the village, the Col de la Palme offers, on a clear day, one of the most beautiful panoramas of Bucovina. Its meadow is a very pleasant picnic spot. There's also a giant zip-line.
