In the heart of the Massif Hora massif of volcanic origin, Vorokhta had its hour of glory during the Soviet period, as a large ski resort where different Olympic athletes visited. Today in Vorokhta, Ukrainian athletes train for ski competitions, biathlon and ski jumping. With a slightly outdated setting, this resort on the edge of the Prut River continues to attract many tourists to winter thanks to its 1 500 m track. A whole set of artificial snow cannons also works throughout the year. Mount Hoverla covered by a pine forest is also a privileged site for walks in a sublime nature where the lakes follow the waterfalls. Finally, the city has the same right of quotation in the folk chapter for its wooden church of the Nativity of the Virgin (церква С i здва Богородиц i). Built in 1615, it is one of the oldest Houtsoules churches that can still be admired in the Carpathians. In Vorokhta, you can see the arches of the railway bridge, built in the th century.
