This major resort in the western Apuseni is located at an altitude of 1,100 m. Access is via a superb forest. In winter, there's plenty of snow, perfect for skiing. In summer, Stâna de Vale is known for its climbing and hiking opportunities. It's an excellent starting point to the Vlădeasa mountains and lakes Leșu and Drăgan. The resort is also famous for its mineral water springs, marketed throughout the country under the name Izvorul Minunilor.
