Overlooking the St. Lawrence River and Isle-aux-Coudres, this village is located 17 km from Baie-Saint-Paul on route 362. Its name refers to the gigantic landslide that followed the terrible earthquake of 1663. The village has nevertheless preserved its architectural heritage, with its stone church, seigniorial mill (open to the public) and old houses. This has earned it a place in the select club of Quebec's most beautiful villages. For a little peace and meditation, head for Cap-aux-Oies, just east of Les Éboulements. The view from its rocky point is absolutely sublime.
