It is the main gateway to Fjord-du-Saguenay National Park. This is where the fjord is the deepest (276 m). Its 300-metre vertical walls are vertiginous, and fjords are generally known to be as deep as the capes and mountains that border them. You should know that Rivière-Éternité was also known for some thirty years for its huge village of international nurseries. Unfortunately, due to a lack of budget to maintain them, the crèches were put up for sale in 2017. Those located outside the church were donated to the municipality and some were acquired by the Pulperie de Chicoutimi.
