Overlooking the valley of the Touques, Beaumont-en-Auge is one of the most beautiful and typical villages of Calvados. You will come across two local children, born in the 18th century: Laplace and Langlois, references in the field of science for the former and painting of the great Napoleonic battles for the latter. You can also admire from the square, the panorama on the landscape of the Auge, dotted with douets (streams that feed the rivers, as here the Touques). Beaumont-en-Auge is a village full of history, characteristic of Calvados, which can be explored on foot, by bike and even on horseback thanks to two hiking trails.
