2 km south of the city, it is one of the most attractive among the sandy islands of the Ria Formosa Park. From the Quatro Aguas pier, you can take the ferry. On the island, you must follow the path to reach its long beaches lined with dunes. At the eastern tip of the island there are many restaurants and bars. Several chalets, dating from the 15th century, are preserved with the greatest care. If the island remains a very pleasant stopover, it is swarming with people during the summer. At nightfall, the atmosphere changes completely and you may have the island to yourself, or to share with young campers
