This village, where the first human traces date back to the Palaeolithic, is in the heart of a region that abounds in archaeological remains. The many nuraghes and Romanesque churches are unfortunately sometimes difficult to find, or not easily accessible by car. At the exit of the village is the church of Santa Maria degli Angeli. It preserves a magnificent altarpiece of San Giorgio. In the shadow of the church, on via Garibaldi, the sacred well Perdio Canopoli in a good state of conservation dates back to the end of the Bronze Age. A few kilometres further on, the Nuraghe San Giorgio is a masterly example of Nuraghic architecture
