Travel Guide Codrongianos

Codrongianos is situated on a hillside at 300 meters above sea level and has a very peaceful appearance. The current historical center developed during the 17th and 18th centuries around the small church of San Paolo. It houses precious paintings from the school of the Bolognese baroque master Guido Reni. But it is above all the Basilica of Santissima Trinità di Saccargia that attracts the crowds, especially at the time of the celebrations of Pentecost which give rise to a great procession in folk costume. A real mille-feuille of black basalt and white limestone, the building impresses with its imposing dimensions.
