The town of 3,000 has five churches, including the 15th-century Santa Vittoria with its elegant Renaissance façade. In early September, newlyweds march in procession to the sanctuary of the Madonna di Seunis to obtain her blessing and start their life together under good auspices. They are accompanied by folk groups and horsemen in costume. The small town is also known for its culinary specialities such as impanadas, timbales stuffed with pork flavoured with herbs, ghisadu, lamb meat cooked in a tomato sauce or succu, durum wheat fregola cooked in broth
