Nestling at the foot of the Col du Tracol, at an altitude of 1,030 m, the commune of Saint-Sauveur-en-Rue offers breathtaking views over the Auvergne to the west and the Alps to the east. Caught between two waters, the village has 1 193 inhabitants and is located 6 km from the Haute-Loire and 10 km from the Ardèche. It has remained a major stopping place on the road to Santiago de Compostela and invites you to take beautiful walks in the area. In summer or winter, take a walk in the nearby Taillard forest, which is home to hundreds of hectares of Scots pines, spruces and firs.
