Located in the east of the Haute-Loire department, about twenty kilometers from the departments of the Loire and the Ardèche, Montfaucon-en-Velay is a town with a rich historical past, once defended by a protective fortress, ramparts, towers and ditches. The history of this village remains engraved in its stones. Its 19th century chapel houses a remarkable collection of paintings by the Flemish painter Grimmer, 12 paintings representing the scenes of the Gospel over a year. Its exceptional environment makes it a perfect terrain for hikers. You can also discover this environment by bike, with the Via Fluvia!
