Small town of about 5,000 inhabitants, in the continuity of Saint-Chamond, at the gateway to the Pilat massif and the Regional Natural Park. In the heart of the Gier valley, L'Horme, a town created in 1905 from the territories of Saint-Julien and Saint-Paul-en-Jarez, has a rich industrial heritage: mines, blast furnaces and forges, particularly the Onzion forges. Also worth seeing: the chapel and well of Fay, the cross of Maladière and the neo-Gothic church of the 19th century dedicated to St. Nicolas. From L'Horme, a network of more than 600 km of marked trails allows you to walk or cycle to the Parc du Pilat.
