On the sunny slopes of Pilat, at an altitude of some 500 m, this charming little medieval town, county town with a population of 3,800, is worth a visit. With the breeding of goats, the economy here is mainly dominated by arboriculture. The village is made up of three successive districts (Notre-Dame, Les Croix and Virieu) which stretch along the D7 road and can be the subject of a pleasant stroll. During this walk, you will discover two beautiful churches as well as the 17th century castle and its chapel. Every year, on November 11th, the apple festival is always a great success.
