4 km from Saoû, this charming village combines old stones and wild vegetation. Crossing the only village alley, you reach a wide, winding path up to the top of the hill where the imposing ruins of the medieval castle stand guard. Two steps away, the Romanesque church of Saint-Marcel is perched on the edge of the void. From here, you can see the strange silhouette of the Saoû forest and the Grand Delmas pyramid (1,544 m), the highest point of the Couspeau mountain. Turning around, you can see the chimneys of the Cruas power station with their white smoke. At the foot of the mountain, the Roubion river meanders. In mid-February, Soyans hosts a famous Truffle Day.
