In the foothills of the Southern Pre-Alps, Saint-Maurice-sur-Eygues is a great place for vines. Since the freezing of the olive trees in 1956, the vineyard has occupied the landscape and produced "Côtes du Rhône" and "Village St Maurice". The site of Saint-Maurice was held by the Cadienses tribe and, at the time, was called "Bosquetum" (le Bouchet). The Knights of Saint John of Jerusalem built a castle there and developed the hospital, which was later transformed into a lordly residence. To see: the museum History and Heritage, the fountain, the wash house, the castle Saint Anne. Votive festival, the weekend after August 15 with a large fireworks display.
