Bordering the Rhône valley at the gateway to the Ardèche, this charming little town is famous for its fruit production and cooperative. You'll discover a number of pleasant little streets on either side of the Grande-Rue. Look for the intriguing impasse de L'Etrangle-Chat... See the remains of the old rampart and this listed painted advertisement for Canard Sauvage nougat, Loriol's main industry for 60 years until 1978. Other frescoes in the style of the advertisements of yesteryear, paying tribute to this company, are added in trompe-l'œil on a blind facade. You can also admire the fountain and its covered wash-house (1825).
