Twenty kilometers east of Valence, at the foot of the Vercors mountains and at an altitude of 380 m, this beautiful village boasts the remains of a medieval fortified castle that was one of the most powerful in the Dauphiné. Destroyed during the Wars of Religion, it became the Château Rompu, the name taken up by a village restaurant. Today, the village is home to some 585 people. There are several walks from the village center, easily accessible to all, from the youngest to the oldest. For those who are good walkers, the "Pont des Sarrasins" hike, around 7.5 km long, offers a great way out. Allow just over 3h30.
