Not to be confused with Sanilhac de Dordogne. Between the Cevennes and the Vivarais, 14 km north of Joyeuse and 15 km from the Gorges de l'Ardèche, Sanilhac has the particularity of bordering ten communes! This village of less than 500 souls is bathed by the Beaume and Roubreau rivers and is dominated by the Brison tower from which you can admire the Alps, the Lozère mountains and the Tanargue. Here, olive and chestnut trees, cherry trees and heather, maritime pine and vineyards are all around. A haven of peace... There is a magnificent Romanesque church from the 12th century and the Brison tower from the same period which dominates the Tanargue massif.
