From the Eyrieux valley, Gluiras is located in the mountains at almost 800 m above sea level. One of the local curiosities: " Le Rocher de Saint-Jean "which brings together basaltic rocks from an ancient volcano. Old stories persist like "the place would still be inhabited by sheep". While walking, you will discover the Protestant temple, refurbished it, the statue of Mr. Clauzel, the road of the Dragonnades (whose history dates back to Louis XIV and hence the name Dragons who came from the rebellion in the Vivarais of the countries), at the church "the house of God" of 1610 85, and all natural sites such as the wood of the hamlet of the Chapel or "pineronde", the Gorges de la Gluyere, tributary of Eyrieux and its "beach", a magnificent route of ridges ideally frequented by the many bikers with a panoramic view of all beauty. To access this village, located 22 kilometers south-east of Cheylard, the departmental 120, 464 and 264 are opening up the tourist route where it breathes fresh air. So don't hesitate to stop there for an oxygen break.
