Rich in contrasting landscapes and passionate about nature, Meyronne overlooks the left bank of the Dordogne River. The village is centuries old, and its lands are mentioned in a deed from 932. The village's present-day layout blends in with its history. The church and houses surrounding the square are located in the former episcopal castle, which was partially destroyed during the French Revolution. The church is a listed historic monument. The château, which still stands in the town center, was the summer residence of the bishops of Tulle. Today, it is a 3-star hotel-restaurant with a breathtaking view over the valley.
