Every year, the village of Lalbenque is in the spotlight for its famous truffle market. To experience and understand the village 100%, be sure to stop by in July for the giant truffle omelette, or on the first Tuesday in December, at 2pm, for the launch of the season. Truffle baskets can be found every Tuesday in winter, a much-appreciated local feature. But there's much more to Lalbenque than truffles: the late 15th-century Gothic church of Saint-Quirin, for example, is part of Lalbenque's rich cultural heritage, as is the magnificent lantern tower-dovecote.
