Concorès saw in the nineteenth century a part of its inhabitants switching to Protestantism in response to the Church's "outrageous" location. That is why a Protestant temple was built - at the top of the village, facing the old church - with a donation from an English lady. At the Pech de la Rode, the ramparts of the ancient castrum of the earl of Toulouse, possessed by Richard Cœur de Lion, followed by the King of France, still appeared. Two other castles nearby still exist where concerts are sometimes organized: Verrières in Curebourset and the beautiful ruins of Clermont - Historical Monuments - in Linars.
