EsplasIn Esplas the castle is visiting. The primitive building consists of the square tower and the adjacent accommodation probably dating from the foundation of the seigneury in 1261, the other buildings were built in the fifteenth or sixteenth century. The castle consists of a square enclosure with three circular towers and a square tower. During the Hundred Years War, Esplas is besieged by the English and in 1376 the fortifications are strengthened, the tower is isolated from the accommodation to better ensure its defence.
