Rightly considered as the beach of the Perpignanese, Canet is only 12 km away from Perpignan. The old town of Canet is not lacking in attractions: narrow streets, pretty bell tower and old castle. Canet-Plage, which is more seasonal, offers visitors a walk of almost 3 km along the sandy beach with its beach clubs and water games. Go as far as the pond of Canet-Saint-Nazaire, classified in the Ecological Network of European Natura 2000 sites, it is a popular stopover for pink flamingos but also for 200 other species of migratory birds. Fishermen's huts have been rehabilitated there, using traditional materials.
