Perched on a hill, this carefully preserved and referenced natural site enchants the walker. The vineyard, classified as an appellation d'origine contrôlée, represents a very important part of the surface area of the village. And rightly so, since the wines of Pic Saint-Loup, from white to red and rosé, enjoy a very good reputation. Valflaunès is also the starting point of a winding and picturesque road that climbs up the Hortus. Put on your sneakers and climb up to the ruins of the Vivourès castle which faces the Saint-Loup peak and the twin castle of Montferrand from which it is separated by the narrow Hortus fault. The turret of the west wall, part of the outbuildings and the facade remain from its past.
