Sommières, a medieval town built on the banks of the Vidourle, has the charm of these small southern villages. Of the Roman bridge of the 1st century, only the 7 arches that cross the Vidourle remain. The medieval remains can be found in the narrow streets, squares and arcades where the coolness is pleasant in summer. Sommières is known here for the Vidourle overflows, but without it the town would not exist. You can swim, canoe or fish here. Sommières is also famous for its "Terre de Sommières", known all over the world for its detaching virtues. Add to this the small craftsmen, the good tables and the festivities!
