The municipality of Saint-Aunès is one of the main gateways to the Pays de l'Or urban area. The first reliefs of the Gard and Hérault are visible behind him, the village itself overlooks the plain and its sublime orchards. This municipality has different facets, they are mainly separated by the Montpellier-Nîmes railway line. To the west of Saint-Aunès, you will find vineyards and the Doscares woods while to the north-east an activity area with a hypermarket has been developed. It is a discreet and very promising village. A few minutes from La Grande Bleue and the first hikes, it allows many tourists to reside in a bucolic and practical setting. It is a haven of peace in which many artists come to stop. From the top of the hill, you can see a panorama that extends from Pic Saint-Loup to the Etang de l'Or or the Mediterranean Sea. Valergues is located in the north of the Pays de l'Or, halfway between Montpellier and Lunel. This small town in the Hérault region has a certain charm and formidable buildings, proof of the region's rich past. The two central monuments of the city are the Romanesque church of Sainte-Agathe and the Clock Tower. When you stand at its summit (22 metres), the latter allows you to discover the surrounding vineyards and local life from a new angle.
