10 km northwest by D 68 and D 109The village of Assas is nestled at the foot of its castle, built in 1760 on the remains of a strong square dating from the th century. The elegant façade of this charming residence is awarded to Jean Giral. Almost as old, the Romanesque church is a beautiful example of this architecture of white stone in the walls of the houses of the old village. Near the castle, there are also some beautiful vestiges of the ramparts that once protected the village.
