Alet, a small village of 400 inhabitants, some 9 km from Limoux, dates back to antiquity; the name Alet, whose etymology Electus, meaning privileged place, comes from its exceptional geographical situation. It is said that 5 fairies have always watched over this village! One of them gave it a water with virtues known since the Roman period, which led to the construction of thermal baths, the second one a relaxing natural environment, the third one a microclimate of a welcome softness, the fourth one an architectural and historical heritage largely preserved, the last one the spirit of initiative to make share these wealths here and elsewhere.
