Chapel with a view of the Pyrenees, marked by the use of lapidary elements representing the heads of men or animals.
Located in the hamlet of Saint-Salvayre, overlooking Alet-les-Bains, the present church dates from the 17th century. But this church probably replaces an older place of worship which was located 400 m away. The originality of the building lies in the reuse of lapidary elements representing the heads of men or animals outside the monument. It seems that these sculptures come from the Abbey of Alet. From Saint-Salvayre, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Pyrenees.

Superbe !
Après 6 km d'une route sinueuse et étroite (attention aux voitures en sens inverse !), ce fut une belle découverte que ce hameau et cette chapelle. Un peu plus bas, un champ sur la gauche offre un superbe panorama sur le Canigou !

Une petite chapelle montagnarde perchée au dessus du village d'Alet les bains. Les brebis se tiennent parfois aux alentours de cet édifice. La vue est a coupé le souffle sur les Pyrénées et les éoliennes du Pic de Brau.
