Located in the Entre-deux-Mers region, Paillet is situated a little over 25 kilometres from Bordeaux. You can discover the church of Saint-Hilaire de Paillet and the chapel of Sainte-Catherine-du-Désert. Once this religious tourism is done, do not miss the picturesque Raymond Island which is located on the town and is a former island of the Garonne (in the 1830s work of dredging and draining made it dry land). It covers 45 hectares and its flora never ceases to amaze walkers. To get there, you will have to cross a small bridge. Have a nice walk! But be careful, the island is a sensitive natural area.
