In the heart of the Graves wine region, this village of 3,160 souls was occupied in ancient times. Gallo-Roman remains from the 2nd century have been unearthed in Place de la Halle. From medieval times, a tower and a postern remain from the castle of the Lords of Podensac. In addition to monuments of architectural interest (Le Corbusier's water tower) or gustatory interest (the Lillet distillery), Podensac boasts a beautiful hiking trail along the Garonne to Portets. Major events include the Rendez-vous aux jardins at the beginning of June, the Côté Jardin festival on the last weekend of June and the Sainte-Catherine fair at the end of November.
