Nestled in a valley on the banks of the Grand Morin river, Guérard, a listed "village of character", has many surprises in store. A former wine-growing village, its hillsides were once covered with vines, and offer numerous trails for walkers to enjoy. Although the historic vineyards were completely decimated by phylloxera at the end of the 18th century, in recent years some die-hard enthusiasts have been doing their utmost to revive this forgotten heritage. With its winery, hiking trails, canoe base and proximity to Parrot World, this little town has everything you need for a holiday rich in discovery.
