Situated not far from Provins, this village on the Briard plateau overlooks the Aubetin valley, and boasts a number of monuments, including the 12th-13th-century church of Saint-Denis, a listed historic monument, a wine press built in 1850, a 16th-century market hall, a washhouse and fountain, and a former place of pilgrimage. On the2nd Sunday in October, Beton-Bazoches celebrates its patron saint, Saint Denis: an opportunity to revive the past with the great Cider Festival. Apples are piled up in the village square, and the juice is made as it was in days gone by... always a great success.
