Crossed by the Véronne river, the commune of Campigny is located in Lieuvin, 4 km south-east of Pont-Audemer. The former Campiniacus, which refers to a territory of ploughed plains cultivated with cereals, nowadays shelters a beautiful square (classified site) surrounded by lime trees, a church and its pretty little chapel. Campigny is one of the oldest towns in the region, as evidenced by the Roman remains on the side of the Viéville, as well as the Gallo-Roman road that crosses the plateau. Several farms make up the different hamlets of Campigny and, at harvest time, the village attends a ballet of harvesters and tractors. The opportunity to sit down on the terrace at the village café, the Bar de la Pelouse!
