This county town, 20 minutes from Rouen, is famous for its duck "au sang". With its many fine restaurants, this gastronomic town boasts a river, the Austreberthe, which can be discovered on the Source walk. The town owes its development to its location and the river crossing, now provided by a ferry that shuttles between the two banks. In 1991, the closure of its nail, screw and horseshoe factory (Mustad) signaled its industrial decline, but at the crossroads of the three great Norman abbeys of Saint-Wandrille, Saint-Martin-de-Boscherville and Jumièges, it benefits from a rich heritage.
