At the gates of Moirans-en-Montagne, Villards-d'Héria extends on both sides of the Héria river. The municipality comprises Grand-Villard, the former parish of Moirans-en-Montagne, Petit-Villard, the former parish of Saint-Lupicin, and Grand-Châtel, formerly autonomous. The site was occupied in the first Century by the Séquanes. Its hydrography was exploited from the Gallo-Roman era and gained intense activity in the th century. Closer to us, a viaduct (500 meters long for 80 high) crosses the Héria. A remarkable art book on which you can climb! Don't miss the visit of the Gallo-Roman Sanctuary, one of the most important of the department.
