Between Morez and Saint-Claude, Longchaumois, Lacuzon's native village, is a rural and mountainous commune of about 1,000 inhabitants. It stretches from the depths of the Bienne gorges to the Ban forest (1411 m). Farmers raise dairy cows, and some companies are active in the eyewear industry, plastics, ... With a site classified Natura 2000, it is a green station in summer and a snow village in winter with a small site of alpine skiing ideal for the beginners and beautiful tracks of bottom and snowshoes also. There are nice walks for hikers and mountain bikers. The church is worth a visit (Romanesque nave and Gothic choir...)
