THE HOUSE OF THE METER

More know-how from the Haut Jura! In the th century, the metric system was required. While Morez and its surroundings develop the eyewear in 1888 in Longchaumois, nine workshops manufacture folding metal meters. This is the Prost family that has been reconstituted here. If the manufacture of metres ceased in the 1960 s, the Association of Industrial Heritage Chaumerand (APIC) revives its history: machine, tools, metres of different models display. A guided tour is provided for two nights per week, but also by appointment. Curiosity and welcome!
