The town of the Tower-du-Meis extends on the shores of Lake Vouglans but the village of origin, St. Christopher, rises a little away. It developed around a priory of Saint Claude founded in the th century. Ancient houses are interesting with their "redents" gables, their roofs of flat stone (the "lava lavas"), their surmontés surmounted with flat stones laid in triangle. From the church of the church, at the top of the village, the view sometimes wears up to Mont Blanc! If the church dates back to the th century, its novel portal, several times reworked, dates back to the th century. It houses several interesting statues including one of the th century oak that represents its boss: Saint Christopher. Snakes escape from his stick, symbolizing the devil fought by the holy man.
