In Castifao, almost new houses, which stand side by side with others almost in ruins and abandoned, seem to be a symbol of the vitality of Corsican building even in the most remote places. On the left, the remains of the Paganosa tower and a few abandoned houses are all that remains of an old hamlet now deserted. Above, continuing towards Castifao, the beautiful ruins of the convent of Caccia, next to the cemetery. The building, whose ivy has separated the stones, does not seem to be exceptionally solid, however. Distrust therefore. Two Genoese bridges over the Tartagine river, one at Pontare on the RT 30, the other at Piana on the D547.
