Drusus, son of the Roman empress Livia, built a camp on the Rhine against the Germans. Drusenheim became a village, strategically positioned, and was repeatedly subjected to the upheavals of history. In the 18th century, the town enjoyed a relative lull, which was conducive to the first major damming of the river and the development of industry. Since the end of the Second World War, Drusenheim has doubled its population and is home to several companies. We like the Altwasser Gardens, the walks along the water, the nautical activities and crossing the Rhine with the ferry.
