With a playground, mountain pastures and mountains, the chalet of the Angletaz (of "Anglette" in Savoyard!) is a small place of paradise perched at 1 500 meters above sea level. At the top of the Parmelan (a little more than 1 hour walk from the refuge), the view is panoramic on the three lakes in the region: Lake Annecy, Lake du Bourget and Lake Geneva. You can reach this magnificent chalet, planted on an alpine plateau, hiking or even by car by a non-asphalted road. We then take full advantage of the large air and the scenery. The help, we don't hesitate to sit down to enjoy this beautiful stopover and the friendly welcome and smiling of the team assembled around Pierre Morel. As ambassador of Local Products, Pierre Morel makes the Choice of a Typical Savoyard cuisine composed solely from local products. Therefore, mountain specialities are to be welcomed with the necessary fondue, tartiflette, omelet, diots (from the Boucherie butchery) accompanied by a Polenta Gourmande. All the meats are country and the cheese comes from the fruit… In the evening, the charm of the places gives a special imprint at this altitude cottage. At night, light makes it sifted: the candle matches our trade. Of course, we will not forget to greet cows and donkeys, especially the magnificent mastiff.

From the Route road, take the direction of the Dit. At the beginning of the forest, a wood sign shows the direction of the chalet of the Anglette, which is reached after 6 km, either by foot or by a forest road that really only suits the 4 X 4, especially in the bad season. A small journey, for a restaurant that is worth it, because the walk is worth it! It is located at 1500 m above sea level, in a large pasture with an exceptional view of the Valley valley, in the middle of cows, 4 pigs and 2 donkeys! This alpine chalet, transformed into an altitude restaurant, is the starting point for nice hikes (about 1 h 30) towards the Lapiaz lapiaz. On the terrace, the service is relaxed, the team is friendly and pleasant. Pierre Morel is very attached to the land, the meats are the country, the diots of the butchery of Villaz, the cheese cheese… In the plate, the kitchen is generous and the dishes of quality. Mountain specialities in honour: fondue, tartiflette, omelet, and an excellent tender. A simplified card. Genuine "home" cuisine of fresh and local products. Very good price!

To come to this hostel, located at 1 500 m altitude on the way to the Col du Joly, we leave its car (we are on holiday not? but you can access through soft roads to the hostel, only in summer) and you can open the appetite by a small walk (3 km from the hamlet of Baptieu or 20 min walk from the arrival of the gondola of the Etape through the gorge of the Rouge Rouge). In the winter, the issue does not arise and skis are reached at the foot (off-site, but ali access) in front of the panoramic terrace of this high place of Savoyard cuisine. The themed evenings (winter and summer), the quad lifts and the famous toboggan runs (3 km to the village!) after a meal where we enjoyed three specialties of the country! The interior room is marked by warmth and authenticity in the image of the specialities offered to us: bougnettes, small potato doughnuts, the Savoyard crust, farcement or traditional tartiflette. Some dishes have to be reserved and we will advise you to keep a place for the polenta rabbit, whose recipe makes us travel to the Alps. Another way, well in the spirit of the village, to eat in the restaurant!

The great novelty of the year will be, undoubtedly, the return of the old institution annecian "Amédée". Emmanuel Falcy, Manu for regulars, was not only the entrance vacuum-clean, completely transformed the place, with a second life in this mythical address created in 1958. First of all, there is the bar with its zinc bar and wood contemporary way, and its matching furniture. Then there is the restaurant with its decor of today, more airy, brighter. The VIP lounge, ideal for seminars, is tastefully decorated. It celebrates also our family events that can be extended in the reserved nightclub. Terrace on the veranda, everything is in harmony with the superb façade wooden that offers a new painting in harmony with the haute savoie landscape. The cuisine of jean-jacques is discovered without a false step with new dishes every day, listed on the blackboard. Traditional cuisine during the week and more extensive weekends: gratin of lobster tail, salmon marinated in dill, jar niçoise, pan-fried prawns pastis, beef tartare cut with a knife... An unforgettable steak sauce café de Paris to butter homemade ingredients (26), a delicious veal liver (rare while restaurant) or a fillet of sole. For dessert, vacherin house with apricot tart and homemade fruit salad. With quality ingredients for a traditional cuisine, Amédée offers a new face: today it is a quality restaurant, a brasserie, a cafe, a "brochettery" and... a cabaret! Carefully decorated in a mountain style, cozy in this beautiful, special luminosity given by the wood, the Reserve welcomes us to enjoy gourmet cuisine in the local area. If it is not possible to refer to mountain specialities served for two, we should not miss a complete map from here and elsewhere: Thai butterfly prawn and its crunchy vegetables, a foie gras bowl and its toast homemade homemade bread, a beautiful rib of beef to plancha, to return to a true Savoyard villages according to grandma and a true pot-au-feu, to finish on a snowball with coconut and hot chocolate. Very well located in the resort, the restaurant Les Intrêts offers delicious Savoyard specialities in a typical and very pleasant setting. Two rooms with wooden benches and a terrace, it is a pleasure to taste a frutti, a fondue or a tartiflette. And if you don't like mountain or cheese dishes, no panic, pizza and pasta are also on the map.

Facing the Mont Blanc massif the charming Chalet Lily is ideally located. A Plaine-Joux, its typical Alpine chalet style, its large terrace with a well-equipped terrace (parasols, deckchairs), children's games in the meadows adjacent to the winter skiing area, make it a very popular snack restaurant for sportsmen and hikers. Perfect for a convivial break with crepe, between two tracks. The team is friendly and high quality Savoyard dishes: farcement, fondue, mash, cold meats… tarte pie. The card is an adventure on autumn hunting dishes, such as this wild boar fairway and salads mixing fresh seasonal products. All at a reasonable price!

A restaurant large enough to accommodate groups. Situated in the heart of the mountains of Haute-Savoie, the White Bear has a large and beautiful terrace south where one can taste one of the delicious specialities of the region - all of which are based on the best local cheeses - such as the fondue, strawberry, tartiflette or the berthoud, a dish that pays homage to the cheese of Abundance and Madeira. And you can understand why the terrace is being stormed when the sun is high. Ski runs and hikes open the appetite, and it is with a dissimulé pleasure that you put a foot inside this cozy chalet brimming with serenity and delicious smells. The wood-covered wooden benches act as an invitation to comfort before fondre pleasure in front of the map. The mountain gastronomy, as a gondola head, offers ginger, fondue, tartiflette, hot vacherin or even Beaufort crust, morels and yellow wine. But this Savoyard Corner makes all its know-how to surprise your taste buds with a casserole of gambas and coconut milk accompanied by agrumes aux, a duck magret with roasted figs or a square lamb of gingerbread to name but a few dishes. For these finely prepared dishes, you will sometimes need patience, but no matter where the quality is at that height. And blueberry on the cake, the expanded map of homemade ice creams and homemade desserts complete to make you succumb to temptation!

A situation in an exceptional environment on the peaceful plateau of Les Glières, on the Petit-Bornand side. In winter, you can drive to the foot of the large mountain chalet that became the bar-restaurant l'Amandière or Chez Régina. Typical both for its architecture and the style of its décor as well as for its cuisine of mountain specialities: potato fritters, herb salad, local deli meats, country terrine, trout smoked by Fabienne and Hubert - just like the smoked reblochon pie. A simple and generous cuisine with quality local products. To digest everything, you can cross the plateau by snowshoeing in 30 minutes or by cross-country skiing to reach the famous Monument de la Résistance, on the Thorens-les-Glières side. A very pleasant meal and walk in a preserved nature. In summer, access is also possible from the Thorens-les-Glières side, with a drive across the plateau to the chalet restaurant.

Valérie and his team are happy to welcome you in their small restaurant at the foot of the Grand massif resorts.
