Things to see and do Puy-De-Dôme

Go and meet art in all its forms! To help you, the Sommet Urbain Clermontois (SUC) association has created a tour that will guide you through the heart of the old town... but not only! The circuit includes nearly 45 places - galleries, artists' studios, antique shops - and dozens of works of street art to find through the alleys of the central plateau. Among them, works by Clermont-Ferrand artists, knitted graffiti or the mosaics of the renowned Space Invader. The leaflet is available at the FRAC and in the partner places.

Nonette, from the top of its volcanic dyke, offers one of the most beautiful panoramas of the region on the hills Dore, Le, Cantal, Livradois, the County, the Cézallier, the Domes Domes. Ferme Geneste, located in Bongheat, is a farm open to the public. The farm's cheese dairy transforms the farm's milk into cheeses, including Fourme d'Ambert A.O.C. The butcher's shop offers beef and farmhouse preserves from animals born and raised on the premises. The farm's owners, Pascal, Patrice and Freddy Geneste, focus on the quality of their products and the environment, as well as contact with consumers. They also organize various events to enable visitors to discover the farm and the processing of its products.

La Tour-d'Auvergne offers visitors a choice between beach and mountains for a pleasant summer. This charming town offers an exceptional natural setting, with its mountainous landscapes and picturesque lakes. The Maison du Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne is the showcase of the natural, cultural and human heritage of the territory, as well as the actions carried out in favor of sustainable development by the Syndicate that manages it. An exhibition allows you to learn more about the territory. In the store, you will find local products, handicrafts, hiking accessories... It is also the starting point for several walks. A gîte welcomes hikers, horseback riders or cyclists.

This 800-meter-high retreat offers a unique panorama of Auvergne volcanoes. Ideal for lovers of fancy in a 15 hectares of pure happiness. The Portelas Greenhouse is managed and animated by volunteers who do not look to give their time and skills. Every Saturday a meal is organized at a more than democratic price. There is no defense to this land. We assume there must be, but we can't find it. Ah if: There are unfortunately few rental homes, only four mobil homes. Too bad, but it can be understood: This requires maintenance and volunteers (even if there are certainly the 'Greenhouse', it would take even more!). Club members are super nice and welcoming, which gives a very good atmosphere. We don't say any more, come to realize yourself by descending towards noon. And you will see: You will stay there! Equipment: Swimming pool - two basins - and pool, tennis court, archery, ping-pong, volleyball, basketball, library, garden of flavors, a playground for children, etc. This is a real paradise especially for children. In season, there are activities every day: Introduction to archery, gymnastics, aquagym, drawing courses, walks organized on foot or ATV… There are therefore all tastes.
