Museum retracing the mining history of the old anthracite mine, with a superb anthracite block and installations.
Nearly two centuries of mining history are told through the heritage of the former anthracite mine. The visit is organised in three buildings: the Shower Building and its Hanging Room, where a mobile model allows visitors to understand how the shaft worked. The "Chevalement" building with its extraction machine shows the complex installations of the mine and exhibits a superb block of anthracite. Not to be missed: the panoramic model of the Auvergne.

Cependant, la visite guidée n'est pas adaptée pour de très jeunes enfants (0-4 ans) en raison des nombreux déplacements, machines et du silence à respecter lors des explications.
Suggestion : des horaires fixes de visites seraient préférables, que d'intégrer un groupe en cours et revenir voir le début avec un autre.
