This magnificent area, which stretches over 8 hectares, is located only 300 metres from the medieval city of Saint Emilion and enjoys exceptional sunshine. Property of the Mérias family for three generations, the vineyard has an average age of 35 years, and consists of 60% Merlot, Cabernet franc 30% and Cabernet sauvignon to 10%. The estate was founded in 1968 by Fernand Bernard, the vineyard is then composed only 2 ha. His son Alain and his companion Marie-France then take over and will continue to change this heritage to do what he is today. The vineyards are now spread over 16 ha and the construction of the grand chai, next to the family house, has been in place since 2000. It is now the second daughter, Sandrine, who deals with the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot wines. The idea of associating the best wines of the estate with a Roman empress, in tribute to the Latin origin of the rural establishment, is to be welcomed. The property of the Jonck family (of South African origin), acquired in 1994, is now spread over 22 hectares of vineyards. It is located on the right bank of the estuary. Just at the junction of the Côtes de Blaye and the Côtes de Bourg, Château d 'Espérance AOC wines are the perfect meeting between the wines of Bourg and Blaye wines. Johannes Jonck is the manager of the Château l 'Espérance with his 2 brothers. They are not from the world of wine but, passionate, they have been able to develop a very beautiful wine. Hope 2012 - Blaye, Bordeaux coast: Very nice garat dress with dark reflections. Exotic nose, vanilla notes, toast, oriental spices, anis, mint and spices. The mouth is fresh and acidulous, with silky tannins on fresh fruit notes. This wine has a fine balance and a final finale.

Cuvée of the Three Brothers 2010 - Blaye, Bordeaux coast: Dark ruby color dress with slight tuber reflections. Formerly named Domaine de Bord-Madeleine and then Château Lafleur Vachon, Château Raymond Tapon has a prestigious history. In 1904, Mr Chaumet-Tapon's wines won the grand prix in Saint-Louis. The vines, cultivated according to traditional methods, are located in Saint-Emilion. A superb black robe, dark in depth and purple on the surface, dresses this bottle with an expressive bouquet that combines red fruits and spices with an elegant toasted and fresh woody flavour.

A real stone behemoth, the Château de Sales stands majestically at the end of an avenue of plane trees.
