In 1957, the construction of the covered market of the commune gave the starting point of a new era. Outside, the non-sedentary merchants also come to unpack their goods. During the summer season, the Montalivet market is the meeting place for locals and holidaymakers. Un joli marché couvert proposant ce que l'on peut attendre d'une telle Halle avec en plus des produits bio (dont les vins) et surprise, tout au bout de l'entrée principale un café qui invite au voyage mais au Portugal avec des pastels de nata de bonne qualité et du vrai café !

Incontournable à Montalivet, le marché est le lieu de rencontre. Vous trouverez de bons produit régionaux sous la halle ainsi qu'un excellent fromager. Il y a aussi de bons petits plats à emporter. Mais la pause incontournable c'est les huîtres et le vin blanc, ramassée du jour par des producteur locaux un vrai bonheur !
